Colchester 1 – 2 MILLWALL
The early goalkeeping error gave Millwall an uphill struggle in the 2nd half with Colchester equalising on the 50th. It took a little while for the Lions to regain themselves and some well chosen substitutions and building pressure finally paid off for the Lions as they forced an own goal on the 78th minute to retake their earlier lead.
Millwall came to life after the 2nd goal, however with just the goal between them the game wasn’t over yet (until the twat in the black blew the whistle). Colchester came back with an almost immediate chance but their frustration was starting to show.
It has been a fully charged game with both teams playing their heart out and a fair number of yellow cards being shown to both sides. The last 10 minutes have not been easy for Lions fans everywhere with a few incidents and a few near misses for Colchester. The Lions kept the pressure on though and Obika had a few chances himself although he wasn’t able to put away. In the end it didn’t matter and Millwall took the win. Millwall fans and the team and staff are absolutely ecstatic at the Community Stadium
Both teams had it all to play for today, Millwall after a draw to Brentford and Colchester after a dismal 2-0 defeat at Exeter on Good Friday, the win was a must for both teams today. The loss today leaves Colchester in 7th, just outside the play-offs level on points with 6th place Huddersfield who host Oldham tomorrow. The win takes Millwall to 2nd reliant on Swindon’s result later today! Lions fans everywhere will be praying for a loss or draw for Swindon this afternoon when they host Tranmere!
COME ON YOU LIONS!!!!
